An ideal granulometric composition of commercial induction furnace ramming mass is given below.    size percentage    4 mm   to        1 mm 33%    1 mm   to    0.20 mm 30%    0.20 mm to 0.06 mm 17%    0.06 mm & below 20%    proportion of the finest material is very important, as it takes part in the sintering reaction in furnace.
