...moreToughened Glass
Tempered glass is made from normal annealed glass via a thermal tempering process in which the glass is subjected to heat till its softening point and then rapidly cooled. This gives the glass its strength. A fully tempered glass is used in most modern glass facade, where glass strength is required. A fully tempered glass is recommended for windows that are on high floors or skylights where people are required to stand on top for cleaning. Also areas where risk of thermal breakage or impact breakage is high, fully tempered glass should be used so as to avoid risk of injury. Glass strength is also required in point fixed glazing, bolted and patch fittings.
...moresound proof glass
Soundproof glass is a laminated glass. When used correctly, regular laminated glass will do a great deal to reduce noise. In fact, in our experience one piece of laminated glass will reduce noise better than a double or even a triple pane in an insulated glass unit. The secret to our soundproof glass is the interlayer. It is thicker and designed with noise reduction in mind.Soundproof glass or acoustical glass as it is also known, is not completely soundproof. No glass can make that claim, however, it is specifically designed for noise reduction.
...moreSapphir Blue Reflective Glass
Blue sapphires are evaluated based upon the purity of their primary hue. Purple, violet, and green are the most common secondary hues found in blue sapphires.Violet and purple can contribute to the overall beauty of the color, while green is considered to be distinctly negative. Blue sapphires with up to 15% violet or purple are generally said to be of fine quality. Blue sapphires with any amount of green as a secondary hue are not considered to be fine quality. Gray is the normal saturation modifier or mask found in blue sapphires. Gray reduces the saturation or brightness of the hue, and therefore has a distinctly negative effect.
...moreLaminated Glass
Laminated glass, regard as Safety glass, consist of two or more panes of glass with one or more layers of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) sandwiched between them and treated. The glass panes can be basic float glass or tempered or heat strengthened panel. If the glass is broken fragments tend to adhere to the PVB interlayer thereby reducing the risk of injury from falling glass and helping to resist further impact or weather damage. PVB membrane has good tenacity performance and when the laminated glass breaks due to violent force, the PVB will absorb large amount of impact energy and disperse it rapidly. Therefore, it hard to break the laminated glass and the shape of the glass may be maintained even if being broken. Furthermore, personnel inside and outside the buildings will not be hurt by the glass fragment. ...moreLacquered Glass
Lacquer consists of certain polymers which are dissolved in a solvent. Once applied to a surface, this solvent evaporates leaving behind the polymers which give the surface the shining, smooth finish that you see. These polymers also have the colors etc as required. Multiple coats of this lacquer is applied to ensure that the finish smooth and long lasting and this process is a little time consuming.Compared to Polyurethane polish more popularly known as PU, lacquer is easier since the drying solvent ensures that fewer brush strokes or spray marks are visible compared to PU. In addition, lacquer dries faster which prevents external impurities from getting embedded (though that is avoided everywhere by ensuring minimum other work is going on while this polishing happens.
...moreHeat Strengthened Glass
Heat strengthened glass is similar to tempered glass except that the cooling is done at a much slower pace. Annealed glass is heated to approximately 650-700 C, but the cooling process is slower than that for tempered glass. Heat strengthened glass is about twice as strong as annealed glass of the same size and thickness. Heat strengthened glass is a semi tempered glass which retains the normal properties of ordinary float glass. Heat Strengthened glass has been strengthened thermally by inducing a surface compression of 6000 to 9000 psi as compared to a range of 11000 to 20000 psi in case of fully tempered glass. Heat strengthening adds strength to the glass while limiting the change in its breakage characteristics. The cooling process places the surfaces of the glass in a state of high compression and the central core in a state of compensating tension.
...moreGlass Fabrication
An assortment of fabrication techniques are used on glass, including cutting, grinding, drilling and laminating. Other common glass fabricating operations are insulation, edge work, polishing and bending. Many of these glass fabrication processes are performed by Computer Numerical Control machines, or CNC machines, which are capable of extremely precise operations.
...moreFrosted Glass
The surface of frosted glass is etched so that when it is struck by light, the light is scattered and any images viewed through the glass become distorted and largely indistinguishable. Placing tape upon the surface of the glass fills in its irregularities and allows the light to pass through with much less scattering.
...moreBend Glass
Bend glass is normal glass curved by a special process. Bent or curved glass is a great alternative to the conservative rectangular design of buildings as it is available in a wide range of sizes, allowing the creation of unique and unconventional shapes. Bent glass enhances aesthetics of architectural structures.
...moreGreen Reflective Glass
Tinted, reflective architectural glasses offer better harmonization with spandrels, metal panels, extrusions and other building materials. This color enriched glass transmits generous levels of visible light and offers color neutrality, which also enhances the tint of the glass substrate underneath the reflective coating. Today, reflective glasses can also include low-e coatings.
