Limestone is a sedimentary rock composed largely of the minerals calcite and aragonite, which are different crystal forms of calcium carbonate (CaCO3). Many limestones are composed from skeletal fragments of marine organisms such as coral or foraminifera.

Most Indian Natural sandstone is composed of quartz andor feldspar because these are the most common minerals in the Earth's crust. Like sand, natural sandstone tile may be any colour, but the most common colours are tan, brown, yellow, red, gray, pink, white and black. Since sandstone beds often form highly visible cliffs and other topographic features, certain colors of sandstone have been strongly identified with certain regions.

Marble is a non-foliated metamorphic rock composed of recrystallized carbonate minerals, most commonly calcite or dolomite. Geologists use the term "Indian Marble Stone" to refer to metamorphosed limestone; however, stone masons use the term more broadly to encompass unmetamorphosed limestone. Marble is commonly used for sculpture and as a building material.

Granite is a common type of intrusive, felsic, igneous rock which is granular and phaneritic in texture. This rock consists mainly of quartz, mica, and feldspar. Occasionally some individual crystals (phenocrysts) are larger than the groundmass, in which case the texture is known as porphyritic. A granite rock with a porphyritic texture is sometimes known as a porphyry. Granites can be pink to gray to black in color, depending on their chemistry and mineralogy. By definition, granite is an igneous rock with at least 20% quartz by volume.
