Backhaus Towel Clamp is used for fixing drapes to the skin of anesthetized patients. The instrument is a scissor action with ratchet fixation at the finger loops and a sharp, incurving, needle-like blade. There are a number of ways in which a towel clamp can be positioned. The clamp may connect two towels, or clip tp a frame,  and in the case of the Backhaus towel clamp, it can also clamp directly to the patients skin.
