Mr. Ramnarayan Kogta in 1970, falling on hard times, had migrated from Rajasthan to Jalgaon and opened up his small shop as a grocery store and soon started wholesale trading of grains. The business took root and he was supported by Prem, Pramod, Gopal; his three capable sons. As the business thrived, in 1975, a flour manufacturing unit named ‘Shreeram Besan Mill’ was started to produce Chana Dal Flour. Mr. Kogta’s vision was expanding its horizons. In 1984, he moved ahead to pulse processing unit ‘Gopal Dal Mill’ and named it after his son.
By 1992, The Kogta Group was selling its pulses to the overseas markets through other exporters. But identifying need of self-sufficiency, the group forayed into global export with their own export house and new brand ‘Dal Parivar’. At the end of the 20th Century, The Kogta Group had become ‘global’ and in 2002, coming along its desired pace, ‘Dal Parivar’ had become the international family.
The dream ‘Kogta International Pvt. Ltd.’ was envisioned far before it came into reality. With the help of effective administration and dedicated youthful staff, today The Kogta Group is engaged into manufacturing, processing and trading all types of pulses, lentils which have become hot favourite not in Jalgaon only but on global platform as well.
