ROTO SIFTER PRINCIPLE Material is screw fed into the cylindrical sifting chamber by means of a feed screw. The rotating paddles which do not contact the stationary screen propel each particle through the screen by the action of centrifugal force. The oversize material is conveyed axially and thrown at the other end. The machine thus separates the material into two grades.

The HINDUSTAN VIBROTECH Drum Sifter is a compact, durable, portable batch sifter designed for drum filling or bag dumping operations requiring intermittent, dependable, fast separation of dry materials. Suitable for metal and fiber drums, the HINDUSTAN VIBROTECH Drum Sifter can simply be lifted from one drum and placed on another after the first drum has been filled. Any oversize material can easily be removed manually or with a vacuum. 400-mm, 600-mm and 750-mm diameter units are standard. End users have found that the Drum Sifter unit serves well for mounting on stands, blenders and mixers. For customers who often need to easily move their Drum Sifter from one operation to another, the unit can be provided with a stand and caster wheels. These Sifters are also available in sanitary designs to meet stringent requirements calling for frequent cleaning to prevent contamination between batches. In addition, dust-tight units can be manufactured to ensure cleanliness and prevent dust from escaping.

Machine are designed on the principle of gyratory motion generated by double eccentric weight mounted on two ends of the shaft of vertically mounted specially designed vibro motor. The screening assembly consisting of one or more set of deckscreens is mounted on a set of annularly located springs, effectively isolating the base from vibrating assembly. The double weight moving with the shafts and located at relative angular position produces three dimensional vibrations which in turn cause the material falling on the screen mesh move at a specific speed in straight to spiral direction giving controlled and effective screening. Due to the adjustability of weight and the relative angle between them it is possible to make the material move on the screen in desired path to achieve the desired retention time for effective screening before the material gets discharged from the outlet spout. During this process the particles smaller than the mesh aperture fall through the mesh and the oversize material gets discharged from the outlet spout. This process is repeated on the next mesh in case of multi deck screening. Available in different models.

The equipment has a cutting edge technology in high capacity sifting and delumping technology.   The Principle of Operation The indeed falls into the sifting chamber. Centrifugal acceleration ensures a continuous flow of material. Finished products are discharged 360˚ around the screen. Impurities are collected in the screening chamber which can be easily removed. The sifting chamber rotates along with the drive at rpm ensuring discharge up to 2 tons  per hour.   Salient Features It is extremely gentle on product as there is low heat generation during the entire process. Noise level below 95db is easily achieved due to the advance drive systems. Almost the entire product is sieved and in case there are lumps, the baffle breaks the same and it is finally sieved. The equipment is extremely compact in design. Also the equipment is made customizable i.e. 1) The cantilever length of the arm can be increased or decreased. 2) The discharge height of the sieving chamber can be made adjustable. 3) The admit distance between the support legs can be widened or decreased depending upon the vessel into which the discharge takes place.           Back
