Pure copper earth rods are preferred where soil conditions are very aggressvive & corrosive. The rods are threaded internally to make it extensible tor deep driving with the help of couplers.

SPEEDWELL Solid Copper Earth Rods are made from high conductivity hard drawn copper to BS2874 C101. Threads are formed by roll threading process to ensure extra strength and avoid the risk of chipping while driving the rods in the ground.

Features: Solid Copper Earth Rods feature an internal tapped hole at each end which allows them to be joined together with the use of a coupling dowel. When deep driving a solid copper earth rod the usual practice is to insert the rod into a bore hole and backfill with either Low-Resistance Earthing Compound or Bentonite. Available with different threaded version. Threads are formed by roll threading process to ensure extra strength and avoid the risk of chipping while driving the rods in the ground. Application: For earthing Installation. Solid copper earth rods are installed where extremely high corrosion resistance and exceptionally long service are required. Commonly used where soil conditions are more aggressive, i.e. areas with high levels of salt content.

Plain Swaged Earth Rods. Tapered Swaged Earth Roads. Especially developed for Australian market, are available with driving head and coupling.

They are manufactured from Structural Quality High Tensile Steel Grade 43A to BS 4360. These rods are molecularly bonded with pure EC Grade Copper (99.9%). They can be driven by power hammers to a great depth. The threads of these rods are produced by Roll Threading Process which insures greater strength and more durability than cut thread.

BCI Earth Rods are made from high tensile-low carbon steel compling with requirements of BS 4360 Grade 43 A. Each rod is molecularly bonded by 99.99% pure, high conductivity copper bondings, each rod is treated with Benzol-triozole derivatives. Threads on rods are formed by roll threading process, giving threads extra strength, eliminating risk of chipping the threads while driving the rods in the ground. Solid Copper Earth Rods BCI Solid copper earth rods are made in two types. Externally threaded and internally threaded. Solid Copper earth rods are used where the factor of corrosion is very high and exceptionally long life is required. Hence these rods are manufactured from pure and high conductivity hard drawn copper to BS 2874-C 101. These rods are also available with tin plating in order to reduce the risk of oxidation and increasing shelf life.
