Medium carbon ferro manganese is widely used in the manufacture of tool steel ( up to 0.4% mn.) & structural steels (upto 0.6% mn.). Used as a de-oxidizer, these medium carbon ferro manganese find their usage in 18-8 austenitic non magnetic stainless steel. The specifications include: mn. % si.% c.% p% s.% 75-80 % 2 % max. 1.5 % max. 0.20 % max. 0.03% max.
