A series of solenoid valves open and feed compressed air through a manifold pipe that blows down a row of bags, blowing the dust that collects on the outside of the bag down into the hopper. Reverse-air pulse-jet dust collectors are available in bag-type units or in cartridge-type units. Particles up to 1 micron are released into the atmosphere.
