Incense is aromatic biotic material which releases fragrant smoke when burned. The term refers to the material itself, rather than to the aroma that it produces. Incense is used for a variety of purposes, including the ceremonies of religion, to overcome bad smells, repel insects, spirituality, aromatherapy, meditation, and for simple pleasure. Incense stick, also known as agarbathi (or agarbatti) and joss sticks, in which an incense paste is rolled or moulded around a bamboo stick, is one of the main forms of incense in India. The bamboo method originated in India, and is distinct from the Nepal/Tibet and Japanese methods of stick making which don't use a bamboo core. Though the method is also used in the west, particularly in America, it is strongly associated with India. Incense is used for a variety of purposes, including the ceremonies of all the main religions, to overcome bad smells, repel insects, purify or improve the atmosphere, aromatherapy, meditation, and for simple pleasure. Guar Gum Powder used with water as a binder to make incense cones, sticks and pellets.

The applications of guar gum are endless! It is used in many products that we eat daily - ice cream, cake, cheese, dough, and some sauces. It is used frequently due to its great thickening ability and for its great stabilizer ability to hold ingredients together (such as keeping cake from being crumbly). And for the kids: it makes great slime just mixing a little with water!!!
