Adapted from crude oil refining technology for the used oil recovery sector, PESCO BEAM offers Solvent Extraction to upgrade recovered base lube distillates(or VGO) to base lube oils having Group I Group II properties.PESCO BEAM’s Solvent Extraction Process effectively improves typical recovered oil by: increasing the saturates by 3 – 5+%,decreasing Sulfur levels.

PESCO BEAM is pleased to present a versatile technology that recovers valuable fuels from Refinery Sludge and Driller’s Mud and other semi-solid and solid petroleum wastes. This technology deals with a major challenging waste disposal, faced by refinery operators. The Pyrolysis Based Recovery System (PBRS) can process hydrocarbon based Driller’s Mud, as well as any hydrocarbon sludge which has high solids content or is not pumpable, and recover the hydrocarbons as #2 Diesel, Naphthalene, and light fuels. PBRS TECHNOLOGY: The PBRS technology is based on a thermal treatment process which utilizes highly efficient and indirect heating and in absence of air. These systems are skid mounted and completely assembled. Thirteen Used oil re-refining systems built by us are in operation at various locations in the world. PESCO BEAM has a unique approach to Used Oil Re-refining, combining many aspects that produce a superior product, without producing more waste which can damage the environment! Our Systems are as small as 50 Gallons per Hour to as large as 7500 Gallons per Hour or higher, rated for 24 hours continuous operation for 330 days a year. They are less expensive than most comparable types. Our multistage systems can deal with a large variety of feed oils. Our design will address your product requirement from VGO (vacuum gas oil) to the finest base lubes and anything in-between. Molecular Sieve Systems dewater azeotropic mixtures such as Alcohols and Acetates without the use of benzene, hexane or other volatile or hazardous extractors . Our systems can be skid mounted or field constructed and are made of stainless or carbon steel. The market has multiple sources for media based lube distillate polishing systems. Almost all of them offer such systems based on their experience with recycling products such as transformer oil. Lube oil distillate, primarily from plants that distill used motor oil, is however a completely different product – ask us. We found this truth after spending millions of dollars on such initial systems from the market place, and with the need to preserve our performance credibility, we spent time, effort and capital, understanding the intricate engineering behind polishing lube oil distillate through such media based systems. Simply stated, a PESCO BEAM designed and supplied LPS, works…..to reward its owner with a top quality Group 2 Base Oil at a very affordable cost. And you can bank on it. Lube oil distillates have completely different and complex set of properties when compared to other oils such as transformer oil. They flow differently, require completely different residence times and to get continuous production, call for careful analysis of the various cycle times. For example, where others estimated a system having 24 columns, the need was for 168 columns with feeding and exhaust systems to match. Some of the systems from others merely have the ability to perform during start-up, since the polishing media is absolutely fresh. By the time the supplier has left the plant after “commissioning”, performance starts tapering off, with every cycle. The number of plants having such non-performing (or poorly performing) systems, calling for PESCO BEAM’s assistance to set them right are many and dispersed across the globe. Why other systems perform below par: They are designed without adequate lube oil product knowledge; They flow the feed differently from ours, leading to inefficient contacting with the media; Their designs do not provide for differing viscosities of the oil and hence the system is not balanced; Uncontrolled reactivation that leads to much shorter media life; System design not balanced. Consequently, production waits for columns to be ready. This system can include advanced features such as amine hydrogen recovery systems to reduce hydrogen consumption, and we can include low cost electrolytic hydrogen generators as well. The cost of our hydrotreaters is very reasonable due to our ability to manufacture and assemble them in our own manufacturing shops. A hydrotreating unit upgrades: Distillates from used oils to produce mainly base oils of high quality (Group II+); Various slops and low value products of crude oil refineries (paraffinic, aromatic), for the production of fuels and lubricants. PESCO BEAM’s Ethanol plants have made ethanol from industrial sugar and starch wastes and agricultural crops. The Ethanol plants included innovations such as modern high rate anaerobic waste treatment systems which generated methane gas and liquid fertilizer which fertilized the surrounding fields. One plant researched and developed processes to convert ligno-cellulosic residue from forestry and agriculture waste into ethanol and other high value products.

PESCO BEAM Bio-diesel Systems are the most complete systems in the market today. Our Bio-diesel Systems include all the process modules to deal with a wide variety of feedstock, including yellow grease, canola oil, soy oil, palm oil and also animal fats. Our systems are designed to efficiently convert these fats and oils into bio-diesel, obtaining better than 98% conversion. Our Biodiesel Systems include all the needed modules to recover valuable by-products such as methanol and glycerin. The systems are continuous and computer controlled. We guarantee that our systems will produce products which will meet ASTM, EU, and Turkish Standards.

A Continuous Conduction Heat Transfer System is an equipment that very efficiently dries, heats or cools material using conduction heat transfer through the walls of specially shaped, rotating, hollow heat transfer elements (paddles) mounted on a shaft(s). Heat is also transferred through the jacket of the trough that houses these elements, making the heat transfer area available very high and the operation, very efficient. The equipment does not use any air for the heat transfer process, eliminating the need for large dust separation and collection equipment, normally associated with continuous convection heat transfer equipment. A very small draft of "carrier air" to remove water vapor evaporated during the process is required to complete the system integration efficiently when operating under atmospheric pressure. The system can be operated under vacuum for recovery of solvents and when dealing with heat sensitive materials that require lower drying temperatures.
