Product information jb weld (industroweld) the above product consists of our patented “jb weld” two part epoxy resin adhesive. The backing cards display the same clear instructions for use. the adhesive has been designed to effectively replace traditional welding, soldering and mechanical jointing methods in the joiningrepairing or rigid surfaces including all metals, wood glass and ceramics. developed to withstand the test of time, repairs made using our product are permanent not temporary. They are two part epoxy adhesive consisting of 1 x 141.8gm tube of epoxy resin and 1 x 141.8gm tube of hardener. The adhesive is dark grey in appearance. All rigid surfaces can be bonded and repaired with industroweld. Packs provided clear instructions for use. Please refer to the technical data sheet for further performance details. main uses bonding substrates - all rigid substrates such as metals, wood hard plastic, glass and ceramics can be permanently bonded with adhesive weld, please note different substrates can be bonded together, such as wood to metal, metal to plastic. the adhesive contains fine particles of iron and steel which gives it excellent inner cohesive properties. The product therefore can also be used to fill cracks, holes and for gap filling. Furthermore, it can be used to build up broken substrates which have been damaged or chipped. For example, a propeller blade on a boat engine which has been chipped or broken by hitting a rock can be built up with jb weld and then re-used as before. the physical properties of the adhesives allow you to drill, machine and grind the product after it has cured and just like metal you can sand paper it, polish it and paint it. direction for use a) all grease, dirt and dust must be removed. b) all surfaces to be bonded or repaired should be completely dry. The surfaces should be abraded or roughened up to provide a key for the adhesive to flow into. This is best done using course sand paper, a file or a grinding machine. c) squeeze equal amounts of resin and harder out of the tubes and mix together. You have approximately 25 minutes to work with the adhesive before it begins to set. d) apply this mixture with putty knife, spoon, wooden paddle or any other suitable implement. You can apply an even coat, a weld bead or an extruded shape as required. you may with to achieve a very thin coat or glue line. The warmer the mixture the more it will flow and therefore the thinner the coat. To achieve this you can place the tubes in hot water before use. Alternatively, end-users sometimes use a hair dryer type appliance on the mixture itself to make it flow along surfaces. This produces an exceptionally smooth finish. If you require a thicker, more viscous coat, allow the mixture to start to set before use, by leaving it for say 20 minutes before applying it. everyone develops their own techniques of using the adhesive to meet their specific needs, as the adhesive take 4-6 hours to set for some applications it is necessary to tie or clamp the components during this time. The adhesive cures within 15 hours but its strength continues to increase very slowly up to 24 hours after use. The warmer the environment the faster the cure time. features and benefits jb industroweld is a premium product. no other competitive products have all of the following qualities. a) non toxic and safe to use. b) we call our resin epoxy steel because it contains fine particles of iron and steel. This is one of the reasons for the immense strength of the adhesive and high temperature it can resist. Many other competitive brands contain putty like fillers such as polyester which cannot be machined etc or provide permanent repairs. Nor do they withstand long term vibration. c) industroweld has tensile strength of 278.4kgcm2. Strength of over 70kgcm2 is considered structural by industry. The end-user can therefore use industroweld instead of using other bonding and repair methods such as soldering, heat welding and mechanical systems. Much expenses and time is saved. d) industroweld resists temperature of 3000c and often higher. This feature benefits end users who wish to make repairs in and around vehicles engines, for example. But it also gives everyone to confidence to make permanent and around the home or garden where there are, for example, hot pipes or if in the garden there diverse climatic charges. most commonly available competition products can only resist temperatures less than 1000c. e) because the cured industroweld can be treated like metal and drilled, tappled, machined, polished and painted it can be used for a whole variety of applications apart from bonding surfacessubstrates together. f) when cured industroweld is completely resistant to water, oil, petrol, diesel and most aggressive chemicals such as battery acid. It is also non corrosive and non conducted this means you can use it as a circuit-breaker or where corrosive chemicals are present or in hard climatic environment. g) industroweld is virtually odorless making it user friendly; it contains no solvents and cannot stick to your fingers unlike cynoacylatessuperglues. It washes off easily with soap and water. h) industroweld has a shelf life of 20 years, even after tubes are opened. This means no wastage and batter value for money. pack size available is only 141.8 gms x 2 tubes = 283.6 gms pack.
