The drier system is conventional pneumatic flash dryer. The hot gas carries the materials pneumatically and drying would be achieved by intimate mixing of hot gas with the wet material as they travel together in the drier columns. The drying bin shall be filled with wet biomass to be dried from the top of the bin. The Exhaust gas from the Gas Engine shall be mixed with atmospheric air from the blower to bring its temperature down to 120 – 130 Deg C. The hot gas shall enter the drying bin through the inlet expansion duct, and pass through the biomass filled in the drying bin and exit the bin trough the perforated front and from the top of the drying bin. In the process, the biomass being in intimate contact with hot gas shall be dried. After the end of the drying cycle, the drying bin would be emptied by simply opening the perforated front plate of the bin, which rests on hinges. The two bin would be operated alternately, so that one bin is working as a dryer,while the other is discharged of dried wood & loaded with fresh wood. Each batch would generate 350 -400kgs of dry biomass with 15% moisture content. The batch cycle time would be 4 hours. The dryer would be provided with ventilation hoods to exhaust the humid air into the atmosphere via a 6 m high stack, located outside the plant building.  

In the Flash Dryer system, Input Biomass (with Higher Moisture) feed in a screw Conveyor mix with hot air. Hot Air which is generated from furnace passes with wet Biomass in duct line. Due to ID Blower developed negative pressure in full system up to duct line.Moisture liberated from biomass due to more than 100.C Temperature inside system. Turbo Dryer is also known as Column Turbo Dryer (CTD) which is utilized for the Drying Purpose for all such Raw Material which is having high moisture content up to 30-35% such as fibrous material such as Bagasse, Jute, Coir Pitch, EFB Palm Waste etc from which moisture evaporates at the acceptable limit of 12%. GENERAL DESCRIPTION The system consists of screw conveyor, vibrating screen, feeding hopper vane guide, conveying line including insulated drying column and conveying line through which wet or moist material is conveyed with hot air.  A powerful low pressure open wheel centrifugal fan assures significant resilience time for removal of excess moistures. Material is conveyed to cyclone and discharged through air tap duct. WORKS Hot air temperature is kept according to the requirement from moisture of material. Your flue gas temp of 150 deg cent will not serve the purpose as material, even at 30-35 % moisture level, will require 300-350 deg centigrade. Also, for 50 % material, the temp may be used at about 500-550 deg cent. Flow rate will be around 10,000 cmh. The dryer is flexible at the joints, i.e., at the bends. So, you can take a 90 deg turn at any of the joints. Hence, including HAG, the dryer size could be 30 x 15 or 25 x 25 ft. with a height of about 29 ft. We recommend to use Hot Air Generator as Source for evaporating moisture from Biomass so that the Briquettes manufactured from such Biomass will be proved to be good Biofuel in Boilers  We use a SS chicken mesh at the outlet of furnace, which is sufficient to arrest any leftover spark in the flue gas, after it has travelled through 2-3 ups & downs in the Furnace.
