Phosphate Solubilising Bacteria

Phosphorus is a major nutrient for plants inducing vigorous growth and contributing to their disease resistance. Phosphorous helps in root formation and plant growth. The phosphatic fertilizers that are applied in the field like DAP and SSP, about 60% of these become insoluble owing to the acidity of the soil, through the process of ‘fixation’ and become unavailable to the plants. They remain in the soil as complex form. After prolonged usage of chemical fertilizer these salts get deposited in soil and increases soil hardness. This bio fertilizer has highly efficient phosphate solubilizing bacteria, that grows and secretes organic acids, which include Fumaric, Tartaric and Maelic from chelates with calcium, aluminium and iron that dissolve this unavailable phosphate into soluble form and make it available to the plants. Thus, the residual phosphate fertilizers in the soil can be well utilized and external application can be optimized. Besides solubilizing insoluble phosphate, it also secrets growth promoting substances like IAA, GA, which help in better crop growth and higher crop yield. Usage recommendations: It can ideally be used on all types of cereals, pulses, vegetables, fruits, oilseeds, spices and plantation crops, especially those crops grown in ow phosphorus soils. Benefits: It improves the texture, pH & water holding capacity of the soil. It increases the availability of phosphors to plants from soil and helps in reducing the use of chemical phosphatic fertilizers by 25%. It improves the uptake nutrients (Zinc, Iron, Manganese and Calcium) from soil due to increased root mass. It imparts resistance in plants against soil borne diseases and insect pest. it helps in increasing the number of flower and fruits on plants and reduces its dropping from plants. It helps in increasing the biological yield of the crop by 15% to 25%.
