Step 2 - Fix the Domestic Gas Safety Device on the LPG Cylinder. Step 3 - Take the regulator and fix it on Domestic Gas Safety Device. Step 4 - Depress the Safety Device gauge dial a few second till the needle raises How To Test Minor Leakage STEP1 - The knob of Gas Safety, regulator, burner or stove should be in ON position and fire should be there in burner or stove. STEP2 - Off the knob of burner or stove. STEP3 - Off the knob Gas Safety (don’t touch the regulator. It should be in ON position always). STEP4 - Carefully watch the gauge of Gas Safety for few second, if the needle of Gas Safety dial comes down, it indicates that there is minor leakage in your system. If the needle of the Gas Safety do not comes down it indicates that there is NO leakage in your system and you can use your system safely. NOTE - incase of any minor leakage in your system first you solve the leakage with the help of technicians. Do not use the system (LPG cylinder) without solving the leakage. Gas Safety Will Not Shut Off If: A minor leakage occur (in this case, it refers to instruction covered under the heading- ‘How to test minor leakage’ ) The control of an appliances (gas stove) in until condition is/are left in ON position. There is insufficient flow through the spot where the leakage is occurring. Supply line is too small. The gas system is mounted or placed near a corrosive area or an area which is subjected to vibration. If continuous shut off occur, the LPG system would need to refill by an Authorized Gas filter. At extreme low temperature and severe winter conditions Gas safety will shut off gas supply and may not function properly. Caution Carry out minor leak testing each time the LPG is used, particularly when cylinder has been changed/refilled or when connection have been tampered with. If the gas safety continually shut off the gas supply refer to the section ‘Gas safety will not shut off If’ as mentioned before. Never use Gas Safety without the regulator as this may by pass the shut off value mechanism, there-by causing accidents. Never use Gas Safety without regulator supplied with your connection.
