Power transistors and diodes need an insulation to prevent excessive heat reducing their performance. Precision punched mica washers help the transistor to be insulated from the chassis and to dissipate heat away from the transistor and other semi-conductors.

Moulding Micanite Sheet material is usually made from layers of clear mica splittings held together by a modifiedshellac bond in order to have the necessary flexibility when warmed for moulding and the mechanical rigidity when set thereafter. Moulding micanite is used in the manufacture ofcommutator vee-rings, end caps, tubes, brushes etc.

Pieces of mica block having a thickness range between 2 mils to 7 mils are classified as Mica Thins. These are used to manufacture Fabricated Mica.  

Mica Scrap is irregular lumps of Mica extracted from mines. There are two types of Mica Scrap generally used. First being tested/Ruby Mica Scrap and other is Untested/White Mica Scrap.Mica Scrap is made into pulp to manufacture Mica Paper and reconstituted Mica Plates. It is also the raw material to produce Mica Flakess.PNR manufactures and exports all types of Mica Scrap to the world market.

Mica Powder is manufactured by grinding or breaking of Mica Scrap. This is a complicated process as the scrap is a hard material. Mica Powder range varies from20 Mesh – 400 Mesh and below.Mica Powder is used in welding electrodes, cables, foundry works, oil drilling, plastics etc.At PNR, we manufacture Mica Powder from Minus 60 Mesh & Minus100 Mesh

Mica Flakes is produced by pulverising the Indian Muscovite Mica Scrap into various sizes ranging from 2 Mesh to 30 Mesh as per application. The material is beaten by means of rotary hammer crushing machine till the required size is achieved.Mica Flake is majorly used in manufacturing of Pearlescent Pigments, concrete block fillers, decorative purposes, roofing and flooring purposes and many more. At PNR, we manufacture various grades of Mica Flakes as per customer’s requirement under strict and controlled atmosphere to avoid moisture and contamination from inorganic substances.

Pieces of high quality Mica having thickness generally less than 2 mils are classified as condensor films. Condensor films are used in the manufacture of silver mica plates used in the capacitors.  

Mica extracted from mines is sorted and the pieces having area larger than 1'' sq and up and having a thickness of 7 mils and up are classified separately as Mica Blocks. Mica Blocks are irregular inshape.  

Corrugated Mica is made from Muscovite mica of Jharkhand origin.It can withstands high temperatures of above 700°C. This mica is supplied as per customer's specification. The main use of this type of mica is in soldering irons.
