In such circumstances, we have developed discharge recorder based on Mannig’s formula. We are installing DL-Meter in the chamber of open channel to measure level in canal. Hydraulic data of canal geometry has to feed in software to measure discharge. Same data then transmits to central station to process in software and analysis. This system is very useful for main canals and waste water channels in factories. FRP V-Notches are useful for seapage measurement of irrigation dam and toe drains. Discharge in V-Notches can measure from 6 lit/second to 120 liter/second. In V-notch, advantage is of head over the crest is large and thus flow remains un-affected by surface tension and viscosity. Limitation of V-Notch is small discharge range and V-plate itself become obstruction to silt and hence not suitable for field channels in irrigation and for waste water management. Redial gauge plate is special purpose gauge plate to understand gate opening position of dam. This is custom made gauge plate and manufacture as per degree of gate. M.S. strip is embedding in FRP moulding and strip outside are welding on dam gate. Fix arrow position welded on gate will show actual opening of gate on gauge plate.
