Description: Base Live Rock also called Foundation Rock, is the least expensive rock for rocking a saltwater tank with. Not quite as nice looking when you put it in, but give it time and it will color up nicely. Perfect for providing base structure. Ready to tank. Use base to build your inside structure and cover with our incredible Premium handpicked rock. Over the long term, this rock too, will pick up beautiful multicolered coraline coverage.For aquascaping, it is acceptable to alter the shapes and sizes of the rock with a hammer and chisel. This will not damage the integrity of the rock or anything growing in it. Please, just make sure you wear safety glasses. Each box of aqurium base live rock contains 25 lbs. of live rock. When rocking your reef tank, it is acceptable to combine a few different islands rock. You may also alter the sizes and shape of your live rock with a hammer and chisel. This will not damage the integrity of the rock, nor it's inhabitants. Please be careful to wear eye protection if you are chiseling live rock
