The electrically operated mechanical compaction process eliminates the tedious hand compaction process and results in a considerable saving of time. Two rammers with two different stroke lengths are provided. This makes the apparatus suitable to carry out all the normal compaction operations required in soil testing laboratories including the cbr tests. This is a new design motor driven mechanical compactor, useful for soil compaction in 100 mm or 150 mm dia moulds. The rammer travels across the mould and the table rotates the mould in equal steps on a stable base. The number of blows per layer can be set at the beginning of the test. Rammer - circular faced 50mm dia adjustable to 2.6kg or 4.9kg weight. drop - adjustable to 310mm or 450mm automatically. In this compactor selection of proctor and cbr is done automatically through a switch. the equipment is suitable for operation on 220 v, 50 hz, single phase, ac supply.

The automatic ProctorCBR compactor provides a fully automatic uniform compaction of specified effort, thus ensuring repeatable test results and eliminating any operator fatigue during the tests. It consists essentially in a robust steel frame housing the motor speed reducer and lifting mechanism which assure uniformity of drop height at all specimen levels. The rammer pick- up has a cam system for accurate height release and is made of highly resistant material for trouble free long life. Compaction cycles conforming to the mentioned Standards, can be set on the digital control panel. The internal mechanism is protected by a two doors that stop automatically the machine when opened, conforming to the safety CE requirement. The compactor is provided with a 24954535 g hammer with double interchangeable tip 50.8 mm dia. circular face for 4” moulds and sector face for 6” dia. moulds conforming to ASTMAASHTO Standards. It is also possible to convert the compactor to EN, BS and NLT Standards (for 100 mm dia. moulds only), by simply replacing the standard hammer with the 33-T85002 (see accessories) and adjusting the drop height.

It is a motor driven mechanical compactor useful for soil compaction into 100mm or 150mm dia moulds. Two sets of rammers are provided, one of 2.6kg. And the other of 4.89 kg arranged for 310mm and 450mm fall respectively. For compaction soil into 150mm dia moulds, 100mm face dia rammers having weight of 4.89Kg is used. Where as for 100mm dia moulds, they are of 50mm dia. The rammer assembly is provided with a ratchet and pawl arrangement to lift it from the top of the soil layer. When the rammer reaches the required height the pawl release the rammer, which falls freely on soil surface. The release mechanism is connected by an arm moving up and down which is connected to a reduction gear coupled to the motor through another arm. An automatic blow counter fitted to the compactor is used to set the number of blows. The base plate of the specimen mould is to be fitted to the rotating base plate of the instrument which makes 1/5th revolution per operation. Operation on 230 volts, 50 cycles, single phase, A.C. supply, Moulds are to be ordered separately.

 Automatic Soil Compactor BS EN Rammer the automatic soil compactors is designed to provide a fully automatic uniform compaction of standard / modified and CBR specimens assuring conformity with the reference standard. Compactor is equipped with programmable digital counter which allows machine to stop at the preset numbers of blows. The height and weight of the rammer is adjustable to suit test requirements. The drop weight is adjustable to 300 mm drop height and is also adjustable to 450 mm drop height. The rammer is circular faced with a 50 mm diameter and is adjustable to 2.5 kg. or 4.5 kg. An automatic blow pattern ensures effective compaction for each layer of soil and the rammer travels across the mould. The table rotates the mould in equal steps and the number of blows per layer can be set at the beginning of the test by the digital counter.
