Block Mica is obtained in size as large as 30 to 35 square cm (12 to 14 square inches) beyond which is practically rare and far too expensive. It is available in sheets with an average thickness between 0.18 – 0.75 mm (0.007 – 0.030 inch). We offer block mica both in natural (random) and calibrated thickness as per customers’ requirement.From the beginning of the trade, Indian mica producers have been following IS 1175 system of size grading and classification of muscovite mica which is widely accepted in international trade of mica world over even today. As per IS 1175 specification the grading for all full trimmed muscovite mica is done based on the maximum usable rectangle area that may be cut from the specimen and not on the total area.
