It all began almost a decade ago when one of our promoters embarked on a trip to a village near river Damodar. That being just an escape from the daily din and bustle of the city life, he chose to stay in serenity to flex his creative muscle a bit. But his busy mind kept him awake in the nights. "It was probably my third day of stay in the village and I was already heart-wrenched. The challenges of the dairy farmers living there prompted me the need to stay awake through the cold nights while comforting myself with several cups of black coffee." A humble and emotional person that he has always been, he suddenly felt a burden; a kind of social responsibility towards these farmers may be. Although he left for his city the next day, his mind was stuck in a never-ending loop. No matter what he was doing, the thought of those villagers seemed to be always turning. And so he kept returning to the place almost every weekend. He spoke more to the dairy farmers, saw their lives from close quarters and soon became a part of the households there. Finding that the farmers selling milk at much cheaper rates, he was much curious to learn what actually prompted them to do so. Some more days there and he realized unavailability of a proper milk procurement center and lack of logistic facility to transport milk made them compromise.
