Heatco Storage Tank Heaters are manufactured from 40mm N/B ASTM A 106 grade B seamless pipe. As standard practice when completed they are subject to 10% radiographic examination in addition to a minimum hydraulic test pressure of 35bar for a period of one hour. Tank Heaters are used in a variety of applications where conventional heavy fuels, high viscosity crude oils, coal tar, bitumen, mineral oils are stored. The heating process can include maintaining the tank contents at a set temperature or to raise the temperature of the stored liquid in a set time. Individual Tank modules are designed to pass through a standard 600mm diameter manhole.

Global Heating Specialist - In any Thermal Power Plant Electrostatic Precipitation (ESP) forms an integral part of Fly Ash Collecting System which plays vital role in the control of TPM present in the flue gases. For the smooth functioning of ESP, the heating elements provided at hopper and support and shaft insulator play an important role. Open coil elements are the most efficient type of electric heating while at the same time, being the most economically feasible for most heating applications. Used predominantly in the duct heating industry, open coil elements have open circuits that heat air directly from the suspended resistive coils. Fast heat up times also improve efficiency while being designed for low maintenance and easily, inexpensive replacement parts. Open coil heating elements from Wattco are typically made for duct heating, forced air & ovens and for pipe heating applications. Open coil heater elements are made to fit inside standard 2’’ or 3’’ schedule 40 NPS pipe. Open coil heaters are used in tank and pipe heating and/or metal tubing. A minimum clearance of 1/8’’ is required between the ceramic and the inside wall of the tube. Installing an open coil element will provide excellent and uniform heat distribution over a large surface area. Open coil heater elements are an indirect heating solution to decrease watt density requirements or the heat fluxes on the surface area of the pipe connected to the heated section and prevent heat sensitive materials from coking or breaking down.

HEATCO designs and builds your heater control panels. We can supply heater control panels from indoor area to a hazardous area on any offshore platforms. We utilize high quality components and workmanship to ensure reliability and performance. Our heater control panels are designed to provide accurate and safe controls for an electric heater. The internal of the control panels consist of three independent but inter-related systems. They are control system, safety shutdown system and power distribution system. The control portion would handle all logic, remote interface and temperature control loop. Each control portion includes: indicating temperature controller, over temperature controller, main disconnect switch, individually fused contactor circuits, control voltage transformer, power indicating lights, and heater selector switches all mounted in a IP: 54 enclosure or as required by the clients. Each control center is factory tested before shipment. The safety shutdown system is designed to monitor and shutdown the heater during unsafe operation. Finally, the power distribution portion regulates the electrical power to the heater based on the requirement from the control system.
