The axial suction branch eliminates the needs of a stuffing box on the suction side. The discharge socket of this type pump is vertically arranged. The drive shaft runs at the drive end in two oil bath/grease lubricated ball bearings.    Model C : These types of pumps are designed for total head beyond the range of model CV by an increase in the number of stages. Pump shaft which is always running below the critical speed, is guided in this type in antifriction bearings at both ends. The standard pump suction pipe is directed to the left of right, the discharge pipe extends radially upward. The antifriction bearings are grease lubricated.
