IFB's distillery near the bank of the Hooghly, in Diamond Harbour commenced in 1987. The usage of Multicolumn Multipressure Distillation Technology removes all impurities from the distillation process and thus the product Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA) meets the exacting specifications of discernable customers. Its ENA product is applied towards the manufacturing of whisky and gin by reputed brewers. IFB Agro has also set up a new state-of-the-art grain-based distillery in 2007 with a capacity of 60 klpd. The unit uses Smart Tech to minimise power consumption.
