Adhunik TMT rebars are produced through Primary Steel making route using virgin iron ore from Captive mines by the world's most advanced technology,- The Tempcore Process - in collaboration with Centre de RechaercheMetallurgiques (CRM) Belgium. Adhunik TMT Bars are subsequently processed through the in house DRI Plant consuming Iron ore mined from own Mines, which is further channelled through Induction Furnace, Ladle Refining Furnace (LRF) to refine the steel to the fullest extent and a Continuous Casting Billet Machine (CCBM). The resultant Billets are of superior quality, containing low sulphur and phosphorus levels and ensures the desired and consistent properties in the rebar. The selection of induction furnace instead of conventional electric arc furnace is decided by the fact that power will be tapped directly from the captive power plant. The advantages of induction furnace over other types of furnaces are Low capital cost with easy installation, simple operation procedure, very low heat loss because the bath is constantly covered & minimum noise pollution.Procured scrap and return scrap will be charged into the furnace to ensure optimum utilization. Carbon in the form of petroleum coke, breeze coke, will be charged in to the furnace for attaining necessary level of carbon in the process. Once the minimum temperature of the furnace is reached, sponge iron will be charged in small batches and the slag formed in the process will be removed from time to time. Required amount of Ferro Alloys will be added after raising the temperature to maintain the desired quality and composition of the molten metal.
