This tube is made from mica splitting for use in standing temperature of upto 600° C in a very small size.  

Owing to thermal insulation and transparency, it is used as a see-through medium for kerosene stoves, petromax lamps, furnaces, etc.

Washers made from our own heat resisting and moulding micanites are used in electro-magnets, micro-sensitive control gear and for many other purposes. They are either cut or die stamped from the sheet material according to the customers' drawings.  

In the form of bridges or spacers, sheet mica is used in thermionic vacuum tubes, and these serve to hold the tube elements in position, insulated from each other and at uniform distances.  

Heat Resisting Micanite is made from high quality mica splittings with the shellac bond being kept low. The material is made available from both muscovite and phlogopite Mica where the maximum working temperatures are approximately 600° C and 900° C respectively. Heating Resisting Micanite is used in the manufacture of a wide variety of both domestic and industrial heating applications such as electric iron elements, wound heater elements, cylindrical resistance heaters etc.  

Made of stacked mica dielectric capacitance units, between two spring nonferrous metal conducting plates ; mounted within a ceramic container, or on a ceramic base. Adjusting screw provides variable compression on the formed metal plate separation

Sheet mica having 22 to 93 holes are used as strainers in brass, bronze, aluminium sand castings. Mica strainer, acting as both choked and strainer during pour, helps to eliminate getting casts, dross, contaminated, reduces polishing belt costs, and produces a better and brighter casting. Being inorganic, strainer is easy to place over the sprue hole.

Knife dressed Sheet Mica of a minimum thickness of 0.175 m/m (0.007 Inch), is called Block Mica. OTC produces all qualities of Block Mica from Grade No. 6 to 100” and above. The blocks are free from V-cuts and half layers as far as permissible for consumers to get highest yeild recovery of finished products. Block Mica is supplied both in natural (random) and calibrated thickness. We supply all size, grades, quality & thickness as per buyers specification.

This product is prepared by pasting muscovite splittings with an alkyd varnish as binder in a small amount and processing at a very high temperature and pressure and then ground.  

This material is usually made from layers of clear Indian mica splittings held together by a modified shellac bond in order to have the necessary flexibility when warmed for moulding and the mechanical rigidity when set thereafter, Moulding Micanite is used in the manufacture of commutator vee- rings, end caps, tubes, bushes, etc  

Natural Mica Washers are circular punched and stamped natural mica parts with round openings in the center suitable for electrical and electronic application. Such natural mica washers can also be bonded into considerable lengths with shellac, epoxy or silicone binders to form a solid roll which is then called Bonded Mica Washers. Maximum use is in railways and grid resistors. Based on customer specifications, Mica washers can be punched, stamped and/or machined into different sizes, shapes and thickness for various temperature ranges

All Mica from 2 mils and above to less than 7 mils are termed as thin Mica. OTC supplies all size, quality and thickness, as per buyers requirement.  

Laminae / layers split from block and thin Mica; the thickness of ten sheets of which taken together does not exceed 0.30 mm (0.012 Inch), is called Mica splitting. Mica Splitting chiefly is used in the manufacture of Built-Up Mica or Micanite products as raw material for ultimate use as an Insulating Material. At OTC different qualities of splitting are manufactured from Grade No.6 to Grade No.2. Care is taken to ensure uniformity of size and thickness and eliminate V-cuts and cracks. Mica Splittings can be obtained in : a) Bookform Splittings b) Dusted / Undusted Loose Splittings   We produce all sizes , quality & thickness as per buyers requirement . Mica powder is produced in snow white quality & commercial quality from 2- 325 mesh ( dry Ground ) for all application including Mica for use in Welding Electrodes , Gypsum Plaster Boards , Wallboard Joint Cement Compounds, Asphaltic Products , Acoustic Products in Automobiles , Automotive Plastics , Brake Lining , Rubber and Tyres , Plastic , Paints , For Fire Extinguisher Formulations, Refractory Bricks etc . Mica being unaffected by high temperature and high pressure, is an ideal optical medium for checking the measurements in boilers for liquid level and pressure of steam.

OTC produces Mica Flakes from 2 mesh to 30 mesh. This material is prepared mainly by a rotary hammer crushing machine in which the mica is literally beaten for as long as it takes to achieve the required size after which the material passes out from graded sieves. OTC produces high grade Mica flakes for all uses including manufacture of Pearlescent Pigment Cosmetic , Wet Ground Mica Powder , Oil Well Drilling , Decoration and Ornamental Display for use in Rubber , Plastic , Paint , Cosmetic  etc.

Mica Disc provides the best protection to circular viewport glasses and perfect visibility for checking the degree of combustion and liquid level in high pressure steam boilers. It is also used in breathing apparatus, communication devices, fuses, geiger counters, broadband waveplates for optical instruments, etc

Pieces of high quality Mica having thickness generally less than 2 mils are classified as Condenser Films. OTC produces all sizes and quality of Condenser Films. Special care is taken to keep the films free from V-cuts, half layers, cracks and finger prints. PPA passed Condenser Films are also made to meet specific customer needs. We can meet all requirement of condenser films as per buyers specification. Application : These Films are used in the manufacture of Silver Mica Plates used in Mica Capacitors.

Most appropriately used for warming and heating applications in toasters, roasters, kettle, flat irons, hair dryers, popcorn makers, cookers, ovens, percolators, griddles, stoves and other electrical appliances/heaters. Also used in heating elements for strip heaters and band heaters where it is sheathed in stainless steel or brass or rust-resistant steel.
