Jib cranes are designed to have a hoist carrying arm (boom) which is mounted on a leg (mast) which in turn in either fixed on ground or on wall. The arm can rotate 360 degrees either electrically or manually with a slew chain. Jib cranes are of 2 types :- self-supporting pillar type or fixed wall bracket mounted type. Applications: Assembly floor operations Loading and unloading areas Machine shops

These are Hand Operated Cranes. HOT cranes are useful when the usage of cranes is very less. They run with a combination of pulleys, gears, pinions and chains with no electric usage, thus saving cost on that. Goliath cranes are used in places where fabricating overhead runways would be a costly affair, lengthy and difficult to maintain the alignment. It runs on rails mounted on ground and can be moved to new locations relatively easier than overhead cranes. Electrical Overhead Traveling (EOT) cranes are simplest type of cranes used in industries for maintenance purpose (mostly). The capacity can go up to 50 tons. EOT cranes can be single girder as well as double girder. Single Girder Cranes:Single girder cranes are designed to give a high performance at lesser cost. It is deemed as cost effective and is typically used with low to medium capacity cranes.
