The Digital Moisture Meter indicates the moisture reading instantly and directly in percentage of the contents in Tea, Wood, Rice. It is a robust and hand held equipment with rechargeable Nicd battery which have a life of approx 4 years. The principal followed in controlling this vital element of moisture is by measuring changes in the electrical properties (Die electric constant) of the product due to interaction with water molecules. It works on frequency, Domain, Reflectometry (FDA).

Rotorvane has horizontal rotor assembly for working inside a barrel shaped stated assembly. The feed hopper is stamped above the wall proportioned aperture cut on the barrel for intake of leaf. The Rotor assembly has one EN-8 steel spindleworm, one widepitch feed scroll and eight forward with three reverse twin bladed segmental vanes. At the discharge end a pressure control device is provided for adjusting the pressure on the leaf under processing. A screwed end protruding trunion acts as bearing support of the motor spindle at discharge end. The discharge unit can also be provided with Iris end plate or cone attachment.

Till late sixties, separation of fibre from tea was though done but was a big task, during early sevevties, experiment started with plastic pipe, on the theory of static electricity. An additional device was provided to electromagnetise the pvc pipe. It was designed as rollers, which move at a slow rpm. in due couse these rollers of pvc pipe of higher diameter, moving on very slow speed, helped to extract more fibres from bulk teas. The experiment practically struck to a point of satisfaction and tea industry accepted the equipment largely. It was thus named fibre extractor.
