Flexicom is flexible multilayer composite insulating material having polyester film or polyimide film i.e. supporting foil and sandwiched between different grades of unsaturated, calandered and uncalandered polyester fleece, mat, nomex aramid paper or high quality glass fibre fabric on one side or both side using suitable thermosetting adhesives. The adhesive does not exceed the copper oxidation level.The surface of the flexicon is smooth, wrinkleless, free from dents, air pocket, dry patches and varnish lumps. It has excellent electrical and mechanical properties which includes B, F, H & C class insulations. The materials are compatible with an impregnating varnish. Flexicon non woven composite can also be supplied by using heat stable resin on both side as a 100% saturated product to enhance thermal life.
