Water supply is the process of general requirement for supply of water from public water supply system to individual building and subsequent distribution of water to various parts of the building. The water from public water supply system to individual buildings is supplied through pipes. A large proportion of capital is invested on pipes while designing water supply distribution system. A hacksaw is a fine-toothed saw mainly used for cutting metal. It can also be used for cutting materials like plastic, wood, etc. Most hacksaws are hand saws with a C-shaped frame which holds the blade. Hacksaws have a handle usually a pistol grip with pins for attaching a narrow disposable blade. The frames are adjustable to hold blades of different sizes. The blades used in Hacksaws are quite brittle. The general blades are the 12 inch or 300 mm length. Hacksaw blades have two holes near the ends for mounting them in the saw frame and the 12 inch 300 mm dimension refers to the center to center distance between these mounting holes. ASTM Schedule PVC pipes are highly durable, with high tensile and impact strength and are available in Schedule 40 and Schedule 80. Schedule 40 pipe has thinner walls, so it is best for applications involving relatively low water pressure. Schedule 80 pipe has thicker walls and is able to withstand higher PSI (pounds per square inch).
