Swimmers ear also known as otitis externa is seen mostly among swimmers or people exposed to water for long hours. This medical condition is due to water particles entering the inner part of the ear and stays there for the longer duration, making the skin damp which is suitable for the growth of bacteria and fungi to multiply. Common symptoms of Swimmer’s Ear is; Redness and Itchy ear, Flow of odorless fluid (ear discharge), inflammation and/or Shooting ear pain, Hearing loss.
