OSHA guidelines for aisle marking vary depending on the purpose for which the aisle is intended . Considering at this aisle marking will need to remain in place for the life time of facility, let,s take a look at how the method used for creating and maintaining that marking for longer life and what is more suitable for marking: Aisles and passage ways area commonly marked with paint, so let,s look at what is using paint to mark the floor over the long term life of the facility. Paint does not allow well to concrete, so the floor must usually be prepped by bead blasting or etching to rough up the surface so that the paint will have something to grab, When the area is open again to traffic, the line is subjected to the abuse to their indoor vehicles. Paint does not tend to hold up very well to this constant traffic. The line is constantly need to be repainted to maintain highly visible markway. Basically the entire process has to be repeated. This is alternative method of creating a line that would eliminate the bead blasting floor prep,that shut down time, all while creating a line that last longer and require less frequent maintenance so here presenting:To create nice clean line to delineate the walkway, two stripes of tape are applied to create a template for the paint.
