Steel cord is composed of left and right twisting wire and arranged evenly and longitudinally in the belt.   The basic strength material is steel cords placed at fixed pitch, core compound and cover compounds are added in pre-formatting process under constant tension. The core rubber ensures adequate penetration among the steel cords. This will minimise the corrosion of steel in case of any damage to the belt. The direction of the strand is opposite to the direction of wires as illustrated. Moreover the cords are placed in the belt as "S" & "Z" alternatively.
