    Resin transfer moulding (RTM) is applied for manufacture of parts where tighter tolerances, both side finish along with voidless construction of material is required. This moulding process makes use of closed mould system. For manufacture of parts the two halves of the mould are first applied with release agent and uniform gel-coat layer and then laid up with special glass mat known as CFM or core mat. The two halves of mould are then closed with toggle clamps and vacuum applied to the mould with inbuilt vacuum minder. Resin is then forced into it with the help of a quick, semi-automated process.     Reaction Injection Moulding as the name suggests (RIM)is similar to injection moulding except that in RIM thermosetting polymers are in the liquid form and are used in place of thermoplastic, which get cured in the mould by virtue of a reaction which occurs between the ingredients injected.   In RIM process, the two halves of the mould, clamped to the press platens are first closed with the help of press and then highly reactive mixture of raw materials is injected in the mould under high pressure. Mixture is then given time enough to expand and cure to the shape of the mould. Reaction injection moulding has many advantages over other processes. It produces light weight, flexible yet very high impact strength products with cycle times as low as 3-4 minutes. We have cautiously employed following safety measures:   Co2 based fire control System (Automatic) The paint shop is equipped with pressurized Co2(Carbon di oxide) line fed by an external Co2 cylinder bank. Although, the anti-fire system equipped with smoke detectors and fire alarm is an automatic system, if situation demands, it can also be operated manually.   Water based fire control System (Manual) The paint shop is also installed with manually operated pressurised water sprinkler system. Powered by high power water pumping system, the setup is capable of controlling fire related menaces.   Earthing All painting equipments and conveyors have been installed in a proper circuit with proper earthing. This ensures safety in case of any static charge that might culminate while operating electrical equipments.   Fire extinguisher Fire extinguishers are installed at various locations across the facility. The fire extinguisher cylinders are checked at regular intervals to ensure complete safety.   Emergency exit In case of any emergency a person can safely leave the paint booth via 2 exit points located at the ends of the booth.
