In POT bearings, a round-shaped steel pot houses a rubber disc made of chloroprene rubber called as elastomer disc. This elastomer disc acts like a liquid when subjected to high loads which, in turn, takes the rotation as well as load of the structure. POT bearings, designed and manufactured indigenously by CECO, are of high quality and prove to be practically maintenance-free. Depending on the requirements of a specific bridge structure, CECO POT bearings are custom-designed and manufactured to any size.

A Metallic guided bearing consists of sliding assembly with restraint along a desired direction to bear and transmit the horizontal force and is capable of allowing movement in direction perpendicular to direction of the horizontal force. Metallic guided bearings are capable of allowing rotation only about an axis perpendicular to the plane of sliding.

CECO's reinforced bearings are designed for use in bridge and building structures as a vertical-load-bearing component capable of providing translational movement in any direction and simultaneous rotational capacity. CECO's elastomeric bridge bearings with simple reinforcement are made up of multiple elastomer layers separated by reinforcing steel plates moulded on the actual layers, and can be manufactured in a rectangular or circular shape to meet individual engineering requirements. These products are simple, robust and corrosion free as the steel inserts are covered entirely in rubber. Easy to install, they will provide long problem-free service.
