Lead Bricks
Saru produces lead bricks for shielded reactor rooms, work spaces or bulkheads and can be constructed quickly and economically using our interlocking lead bricks and lead chevron rail. Our two shielding systems use individual bricks of 50mm or 100mm thickness, which are designed to lock into the lead bricks surrounding it. The unique design of the bricks enables them to be layered in order to achieve precisely the thickness of shielding required by the vessel.

glove boxes
Glove boxes are stainless steel sealed containers that are used to handle radioactive materials by means of gloves built into the sides of the glove box. Lead radiation shielding and a lead glass viewing window are incorporated into the unit to protect the operator from gamma radiation.

Lead Blankets
Saru manufactures heavy duty, non-flammable and easy to decontaminate lead blankets. These blankets provides shielding against gamma radiation present in the nuclear environement. These multi-purpose lead blankets can be used vertically or horizontally and can even be wrapped around sensitive equipment or plant. Lead Lined Storage Safe
Saru lead lined storage safe is ideal for storing large quantities or high energy radioisotopes and radioactive sources. The safe is lined with 2 inches of lead and encased in a powder coated steel frame. Adjustable shelfs can be provided. The lead lined door is fitted with heavy duty hinges to prevent sagging.
