The gauge is designed as rugged and dependable keeping in view of application requirement of oil industries. To take care of vibration experienced in the Christmas tree suitable damping arrangement has been incorporated. Conventional indicating pointer has been eliminated and the dial moves alongwith the pressure vibration to indicate the variable against red mark on the case.

Capsule Pressure gauges are designed for measuring lowvery low pressures and vacuum. The pressure medium needs to be gaseous. The capsule consists of two diaphragms joined and sealed around their circumference. Several such capsules may be combined to enable measurement of very low pressures. Normally, pressure is applied to the inside of the capsule, which changes shape as a result. By means of a link and gear movement system, this deflection is converted into rotation of a concentric pointer indicating pressure on a dial.

The bi-metallic element consists of two strips of different metals, with different thermal expansion coefficients, inseparably joined together. This strip is spirally or helically wound with one end fixed to the body of the thermometer, and the other attached to the axis of a pointer. Measurement of temperature is made with the bi-metallic system inside the temperature sensor. Temperature variation influences the bi-metallic strip such as to rotate the pointer; this rotation is indicated on a dial.
