This machine comprises of a double 'U' shaped container welded and machined together inside which rotates two 'Z' shaped sigma blades in opposite directions. The clearances between the walls and the container are kept to a minimum to ensure maximum effciency in kneading and mixing. The shafts of the sigma blades are fitted in bearing blocks which are each provided with roller bearings, steel glandsteflon rubber seals for smooth and leakless operations. The kneader is mounted on a sturdy base frame fabricated out of ISMC sections and are free from vibrations. For cooling and heating jackets are provided. Hydraulic tilting system is provided with complete power pack, electric motor, pressure valves, pipes, fittings, cylinders and hoses which makes the tilting mechanism quick, easy and simple to operate.

The Sand Mills are mainly used by coating, ink and paint industries for the size reduction and dispersing of pigments in the liquids. The pigment particles are dispersed upto 2 microns in a single pass. The milling chamber is fitted with grinding media, where the feed is pumped from the bottom chamber. The material moves upwards and subjected to high shearing force, which results in finely grinded material. A jacket arrangement is also provided for the cooling of grinding material in the chamber.

An extra bearing on the coupling sleeve will be provided to reduce the load on the motor bearing. lt will consist of an impeller of special design.
