Air Compressor is positioned as the first primary equipment in the Oxygen Plant. The production cycle starts from the air compressor by sucking the atmospheric air.   A multi-stage (minimum 4 stages) air compressor sucks atmospheric air through a suction filter compressed to a working pressure which is nearly 2-3 Kg/cm2 during start up of Plant and to a pressure of 40-50 Kg/cm2 approximate during normal running of the air separation unit.
