Positioning in the Plant : The chilling Tank along with chilling unit is installed after the cascade cooler.   Primary Function : It is one of the important stages of the process where moisture & CO2 is separated partly from the air before entering the Molecular Sieve Battery. The air from the cascade cooler passes through the chilling tank, which contains chilled water at a temperature of 60C to 100C. This water is chilled by a Chilling unit. In the chilling tank the moisture entrapped in the air further gets condensed and is separated out as moisture.
