Cosmos HCSD variable swirl diffusers adopts hydrokinetics principle for the design of its blade by which the blade pushes the current by means of swirl with a certain initial velocity to achieve a larger throw distance, bigger space covered by a jet, and more efficient convection current effect. Installing a HCSD diffuser in plenum box can help to achieve a stable flow of air to the diffuser as well as realize the potential for individual adjustment. On the construction with fixed air control blades, the air is discharge in a horizontal direction only.

“COSMOS” Non‐return Pressure relief Gravity Back draft dampers have been specifically designed for use in Air‐conditioning and Ventilation system, these dampers are air operated and are used for air intake and exhaust, and are also used for pressure relief. Non‐return Gravity Back draft dampers can either be operated by gravity (where pressure or velocity opens and closes the damper) or be motorized to open and close when required. These dampers are composed of a set of horizontally mounted blades, they are normally closed and are free to rotate about the horizontal axis. The blades are manufactured from light weight aluminum sheets. Frame is manufactured from high quality aluminum as well as from galvanized steel.

Plenum boxes are used for supply and exhaust of air through diffusers and grilles. The plenum box ensures a continuous flow to the diffuser, and plenum boxes equipped with dampers create the possibility of adjusting the diffuser on an individual level. Furthermore, the plenum box is usually supplied with acoustic insulation. This contributes to the sound attenuation inside the box. This way the noise from the air flow inside the air duct system and the sound from room to room is reduced.
