As on date, as per the latest crushing report of the Commissionerate, the mills have so far crushed some 371.08 lakh tonne cane to produce 416.53 lakh tonne sugar at a recovery rate of 11.23%. Senior officials of the Commissionerate said that the production may not cross 420 lakh tonne. This is among the shorter seasons in Maharashtra coming after two consecutive droughts.Factories in the Marathwada region were the first to shut down and closed operations by January-end, followed by mills in the Solapur region. Bevcon jaw crushers are used for primary crushing in a mine or ore processing plant. Product is fed into the top of the jaw crusher by a vibrating grizzly feeder. Mechanical pressure is achieved by eccentric rotating drive shaft causes the two jaws of the crusher of which one jaw is fixed mounted in a “V” alignment stationary breaking surface, while the other reciprocates movable jaw exerts force on the rock by forcing it against the stationary plate. The space at the bottom of the “V” aligned jaw plates is the crusher product size gap or the size of the crushed product from the jaw crusher. The material remains in the jaws until it is small enough to pass through the gap at the bottom of the jaws.
