The Cutting Oil can also be blended with refined mineral oil, emulsifiers, and many other additives, depending upon the application. The 'Oil in water' type solutions of Cutting Oil form a stable milky emulsion.

General Qualities & Characteristics Cutting Oil are intended for lubrication and cooling of metal surface during metal cutting operations. “Neat” cutting oil are different from”soluble” cutting oil in that the former is immiscible with water. Cutting Oils Containing ‘Free’ sulfur would not be suitable for non-ferrous metals in view of the staining of the latter. Cutting Oil intended for nonferrous metals are mineral oils with or without added fatty oil, and the fatty oil may also be sulphurised in order to provide Extreme Pressure (E.P.) Properties but does not contain any free sulfur. Accordingly, there are three types of Neat cutting Oil. (as per bureau of Indian Standards.)   Type 1 : Mineral oil without added sulphur, having different viscosities, depending on the addition of fatty oil and intended for general machining of mild brass steel, brass and light alloys.   Type 2 : Mineral oil blended with sulphurised fatty oils which is non-staining and intended for use with non-ferrous metals and varying in viscosity.   Type 3 : Sulphurised mineral oil which is staining and intended for use with ferrous metals and only. Neat Cut differ mainly in their content of fatty oil and their content of sulphurised additives has lesser SAP and more additives, is recommended for heavy duty, high speed load conditions for low speed, low load versions of same combination of the material-tool-and-machine.   Available Packaging: 26Ltr, 50Ltr and 210Ltr.

Excel Cut ST 21 is a low viscosity, light coloured product containing chlorinated EP and oiliness additives. It is suitable for machining operation on mild steels, carbon steel, nickel steels and manganese steels and its use may be extended to copper, aluminium and their alloys if required.  Excel Cut ST 23 is the product which contains additives, which impart high oiliness as well as EP properties. It affords good cooling, chip flushing & penetration. It is suitable for high speed automatic machine tools and may also be used as a general purpose machine tool lubricant.Excel Cut ST 55 is medium viscosity dark brown oil containing active sulphur, chlorine and oiliness additives. It is suitable for all machining operations on high tensile steel and for less severe operations on stainless and heat resistant alloys. It is recommended for gear hobbing, thread –cutting machines etc.

Introduction of Soluble Cutting Oil Soluble Cutting Fluid / Oil is a type of coolant and lubricant designed specifically for metalworking and machining processes. There are various kinds of cutting fluid, which include oils, oil-water emulsions, pastes, gels, and mists. They may be made from petroleum distillates, animal fats, plant oils, or other raw ingredients. Depending on context and on which type of cutting fluid is being considered, it may be referred to as Soluble Cutting Fluid, Soluble Cutting Oil, Soluble Cutting compound, Soluble Cutting Fluid Coolant, or Soluble Cutting Fluid Lubricant.
