Electrical slip rings (ESR) Designed to function in extreme marine environments, our electrical slip ring units are used around the world for reliable power and signal transmissions in marine surface and subsea applications. Diverse Applications Used in the majority of current work-class ROV models and underwater trenchers, geophysical, oceanographic and other winches, our electrical slip ring units are customized for the most demanding environments. The Model 176 is a versatile design found in applications as diverse as Remotely Operated Vehicle systems, both surface and subsea, towed arrays used by various navies, seismic exploration, subsea control systems and oceanographic monitoring installations. The Model 180 is used in smaller winch systems such as those for oceanographic sensors and small ROV systems. In fact, our electrical slip rings were used in the discovery of the Titanic and the Bismark.

Introduced in the mid 1970’s to serve in diver life-support umbilical systems, our fluid rotary unions have been diversified to include a broad range of applications. Our fluid rotary unions are currently used around the world to ensure reliable transmission of life support, process, power and control fluids. Currently, fluid rotary unions rated for pressures up to 15,000 PSI (1000 bar) are available.Seals are selected based on chemical compatibility, design pressure, design temperature, required service life and acceptable leakage rate. Leak collection can be supplied when required for environmental or personnel safety. Fluid rotary unions can be combined with our electrical slip rings and fiber optic rotary joints.

MacArtney OptoLink connectors combine robustness and reliability with flexibility and ease of use. They provide low noise fibre optic connections for one to four optical fibre passes in a wide range of configurations for connector and penetrator types. Thanks to spherical lens technology, MacArtney OptoLink connectors are easy to clean and reassemble in the field. OptoLink connectors are robust and reliable and are rated for depths of up to 6,000 metres. Their flexible cables also make the connectors easy to work with. MacArtney OptoLink connectors are available in flange (FCR), bulkhead (BCR) and cable mount (CCP, CCR) configurations from stock in both Nickel Aluminium Bronze C63000 and stainless steel AISI 316 housings.

During the past two decades, MacArtney has built up a strong and versatile track record of supplying in-house developed and manufactured EMO and NEXUS multiplexers and complete telemetry solutions to OEMs, system providers and operators on a global scale. Providing the link between surface and seabed, EMO and NEXUS multiplexers bring together Focal multiplexer cards and other state-of-the-art telemetric technologies and are widely used for subsea applications such as ROVs, trenchers, towed monitoring platforms and other sensor carrying systems. Beyond interfacing a vast variety of sensors mounted on board a given application, EMO and NEXUS multiplexers work to provide and sustain a safe and efficient fibre optic link between surface and seabed. Standard connectivity interfaces on NEXUS telemetry systems include SubConn® and OptoLink connectors.

The KS2 series is well suited for heavy industry and demanding, tough, operational conditions. The cylinder works with a pressure of up to 250 bar and has been designed in accordance with the DNV set of rules.
