The unique G3MA “Passive” Desiccant Dehumidification Wheel (patent pending) has the ability to be regenerated with the 50% RH room return air allowing for substantial moisture removal through dehumidification of the fresh air being supplied to the room.

Evaporative Cooling with EcoCool Evaporative Cooling Pads is the ideal and most economical method of cooling. Evaporative Cooling is the process in which air is cooled by using the heat in the air to evaporate the water from an adjacent surface. A temperature reduction of 10 to 20°C (50-68°F) can be achieved by passing the hot fresh air through the wetted pads. The temperature reduction depends on the dry bulb and wet bulb temperature of the ambient incoming air, the thickness of the pad (in the direction of the air travel), the geometry of the pad, the air velocity through the pad and provided the proper amount of water is used and distributed evenly so that all of the pads are wet through their depth, height and width. The hotter and drier the incoming air, the higher the temperature reduction, after passing through the wetted EcoCool pads.

The EcoFresh Energy Recovery Wheel, which recovers total energy (sensible as well as latent), assists in meeting all the requirements of Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), humidity control and energy saving. DRI offers the Highest Recovery Enthalpy Wheels in the world (Aluminum substrate coated with a choice of desiccants). Incorporation of EcoFresh Heat Wheels into the air-conditioning system means more outdoor air at lower energy cost (reduced chiller load).

DRI Energy Recovery Ventilators are equipped with EcoFresh Energy Recovery Wheels (ERW); capable of recovering more than upto 75% of each sensible and latent energy from the stale exhaust air and transferring it to the fresh outside air. The rotating wheel transfers the sensible and latent energy between the counter flowing exhaust and supply air and in the process preconditions (cool heat dehumidify humidify) the fresh air.
