M/s Ghasiram Gokalchand Group was founded in the year 1950. and was initially engaged in trading in steel products.
The group had started ship breaking activities at Darukhana, Mumbai in mid-seventies. In the year 1982, the group under took expansion of its activities when we started ship breaking activities at Alang Bhavnagar, Gujarat.
Simultaneously, we also set up a steel rolling mill at Wada, Maharashtra named M/s Steel Rolling Mill of Maharastra (SRMM) for production of mild steel various structural products.
In the year 2002, We also installed an induction furnace at Wada for captive consumption of MS Billets.
Presently, the unit at Wada is engaged in production and marketing of mild steel rounds, flats and angles. We have a good reputation in the steel market for our good quality and complete range of size, width and gauges of end product which is used mainly in fabrication.
In the year 2003, the group has partnered with M/s Varma Group and floated M/s Omkar Developers which has built a very big name in slum redevelopment sector at Mumbai.
In our steel business, we are now undertaking forward integration and propose to start Equipment design and engineering activities for various type of industries like steel, chemical, textiles, sugar industries etc. We hope to receive the same overwhelming support which our group has received in last so many decades from the suppliers as well as customers.⁠⁠⁠⁠
