The particle shape is spherical. Zinc dust is suitable for use in many binder formulations for the manufacture of zinc primers and shop primers, for example inorganic ethyl silicate and epoxy primers. Zinc dust is preferred in major applications such as chemical industry, paint industry and metal extraction industry. Improved yields, faster reaction kinetics and consistent quality are inherent characteristics of distilled grade zinc dust on account of their greater homogeneity and uniformly fine particles.
