The FLUIDPRO Fluid Bed Processor makes drying and agglomeration possible in a single equipment.The basic equipment is 2-bar pressure shock resistant and consists of air handling unit, inlet chamber, product container, retarding chamber with finger bag assembly and exhaust unit consisting of exhaust blower.Blanked off connection is provided on the retarding chamber for housing spray gun to facilitate top spray arrangement.

The clean air is heated either by electric heater or by steam. The hot air is then made to pass through product, through specially designed draft tube & hot air flow channelised in such a way that product is fluidised. Fluid Bed Processor is a very good technology to make granules from powder using top spray method. The technology is most suited as the same equipment can be used for top spray granulation, bottom spray coating & drying all 03 parameters in the same equipment thereby reducing the nos of equipment used for a process. With fluid bed processor technology the granulation is uniform and better due to fluidization the particle movement is very fast and due to the liquid moisture been sprayed on continuous basis the mixing of powder & liquid is very efficient and uniform.

Uniform processing conditions are achieved by passing hot air through a product layer under controlled velocity conditions to create a fluidized state. Using intimate air-to-product contact, Drying is carried out by heated air supplied as main the source for drying, as it is effectively introduced by steam heating which gives high rates of heat exchange at high thermal efficiency while preventing overheating of individual particles. Fluid bed coating of powders, granules, or tablets involves the spraying of a liquid on the fluidized powder under strictly controlled conditions.
