After the partition of 1947, his son Shri Goverdhandas Bajaj had to leave the sprawling business setup behind and moved with nothing, but his skills to earn his daily livelihood to the upcoming city of Bombay. Under his proficient guidance the business grew and our first retail set up was in Bibijan Street, Mumbai.
