If bonding using silicones to mount mirrors, care should be taken to ensure that the silicone is compatible with the protective backing on the mirror; if our adhesive is not used then it is the client’s responsibility to ensure that the adhesive is compatible with the backing layer on the mirror. If the adhesive supplier cannot confirm the suitability of their products, we advise that a small test area is tried to verify its long-term compatibility. Adhesives should be applied in vertical stripes making sure that air can circulate between the back of the mirror and the surface to which it is being applied. Apply even pressure to the surface area of the mirror.
